The Earth-Science Modeling Group has activities on teaching, research and application of stochastic models of Earth Sciences. It also performs courses, seminars, documentation and publication of scientific papers. Besides, it proposes methods, models and software oriented to researches and students interested on realizing their work on spatial modeling. In this page it is shown the group activities, as well as the most recent work and news of its composing members.

Van Huong Le, Martín A. Díaz-Viera, Raúl del Valle-García, and Daniel Vázquez-Ramírez were recognized for their work in the MULTIVARIATE COPULA-BASED MODEL FOR PREDICTING PETROPHYSICAL PROPERTIES USING SEISMIC ATTRIBUTES AS VARIABLES as the best doctoral work the Solid Earth area presented at the congress of the annual meeting of the Mexican Geophysical Union (RAUGM 2020).
